How to Reach Ujjain
By air: Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport at Indore (IDR) is 55 km / 1.5 hr from Ujjain. Daily direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. International transit is via Delhi or Mumbai.
By rail: Ujjain Junction (UJN) is a major station on the Mumbai-Delhi and Ahmedabad-Howrah routes. The Avantika Express, Malwa Express, Indore-Bhopal Intercity and several Vande Bharat services stop here.
By road: NH-148N connects Indore to Ujjain. Bhopal is 190 km / 4 hr. Udaipur is 410 km / 8 hr. Mumbai is 660 km / 12 hr via Surat. Major bus operators (MPSRTC, VRL, Hans Travels) run overnight services from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Delhi.
